SMS Safety Alerts — Terms
These terms apply to the SMS (text message) safety alert service provided by Next to Kin Labs Inc. ("Next to Kin," "we," "us").
What the service is.
When you register a KinTag and provide a mobile number with your consent, we send a text message to that number when your tag is tapped. These are transactional safety notifications. They are not marketing messages.
Consent.
You opt in by checking the consent box during registration and providing your mobile number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing or using a KinTag — the tag works whether or not you enable text alerts.
Message frequency.
Message frequency varies and depends on how often your tag is tapped. There is no fixed number of messages.
Cost.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Next to Kin does not charge you for these texts; any charges come from your own carrier.
Opt out.
You can stop the texts at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation and then no further alerts to that number unless you opt in again.
Help.
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at support@nexttokin.ca.
Carriers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy.
Your mobile information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
